Trump an Environmentalist? Yeah, right.

During the recent G-7 summit, Trump made the preposterous claim that he is an environmentalist and that he knows more about the environment than most people. As has become the norm with Trump, his own actions prove once again he is lying. Gee. What a surprise. NOT!

Let’s have a look see at the definition for environmentalist to see just how far from the truth Trump’s erroneous claims and boasts were this time. The word ‘environmentalist’ is classified as a noun and defined as ‘a person who is concerned with or advocates the protection of the environment’.

Now that we have a definition, let’s look at Trump’s record with regards to the environment and see if he even comes close to being concerned or advocating for the protection of the environment.

There you have the evidence which has been presented fairly without bias; just the cold hard facts. Based on what you can read and the definition, what is your conclusion? Is Trump the environmentalist he purports to be with more knowledge of the subject than most people?

If, for some strange inexplicable reason, you believe that Trump is an environmentalist, then perhaps you can explain these actions taken by him and his administration.

As a resident of one of the most environmentally aware and concerned states in the country, I can say for a fact that Trump is most definitely NOT an environmentalist. In fact, he is the direct opposite as his record and actions have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt.

The bottom line is this. Since being mistakenly sworn into office, Trump has shown his complete ignorance of proven climate science and a total disregard for the environment. His disdain for the planet (the environment IS the planet after all) will turn the US mainland into a desolate wasteland and will have devastating effects on the entire world. Does he care? Of course not. Why? Because he knows nothing, he cannot handle the truth because it doesn’t fit into his planet destroying agenda. And the justification for this wanton destruction is money.

Will someone please explain how money is more important than having a planet to reside on? If we have destroy the environment, we kill the planet and everything that lives on it. It really is that simple. Just as bees are a vital link in our food chain and survival, so is the environment. There’s a reason cyclonic storms are more intense; the jet stream has become much more mobile; the seas are rising; and the ice is melting at the poles at an increased rate.

So, is Trump the environmentalist he claimed to be at the G-7 summit?
